4-H COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
The Daviess County 4-H Council is proud to announce the Class of 2022 Daviess County 4-H Council Scholarship winners. The 4-H Council awards one or more college scholarships each year, with the maximum award per person set at $1000. Selection of scholarship recipients and amounts received are determined by a volunteer committee.
All three of this year’s 4-H Scholarship Winners have many 4-H experiences in common. They are all seasoned 4-H Campers who combined have 25 years of 4-H Camp experience. From cloverbud age to regular 4-H Camp, as teen leaders and even as adult leaders. All three were also active on the 4-H Teen Board, entered dozens of fair projects, attended 4-H Teen Conference, and have volunteered at the Apple Festival, for the Tractor Supply Paper Clover Campaign, and at the county fair.
This year’s recipients are:
Evan Fuqua – Evan has shown hogs and cattle since he was 9 years old. He won the year end award for the 4-H/FFA Feeder Calf Project a record three times. Evan is also a member of the 4-H Crushers Trap Team and shot his personal best at last year’s State 4-H Shoot. Evan will attend Parkland College in Illinois next year.
Isaac Heisdorffer – Public speaking has been one of Isaac’s main projects. He has given demonstrations and speeches at the state level. In 2022 he was named State Champion for his essay in the State Communications Contest. This year Isaac participated in the Teen Leadership Academy and received his 4-H Gold Achievement Award. Isaac plans to major in Ag Economics.
Juliann Heisdorffer – Juliann has participated in the Written Communications Contest and the Mock Interview Contest at the state level.
